Battling Terriers Earn Point

A spirited and hard working Yorkshire Terriers shared the spoils with Middleton Park in the Leeds Flexi League, as neither side managed to break the deadlock in a tight encounter.

The game of very few chances saw the only shot on target in the first half fall Middleton’s way, Terriers keeper Brad Ellis denying the side with a strong palm to clear the danger.

As the pressure mounted, Terriers stayed strong and went into half time the happier of the sides thanks to an organised and professional showing.

Terriers grew in confidence in the second half, and looked the better team going forward, as they battled to carve open their opponents.

And five minutes from time, they had their chance as Middleton’s keeper got down well to deny striker Liam Todd, in what ended up being the Terriers only shot on target.
